Hi Steven,

Not sure I fit the bill. I have a 1929 CS1, but it is all together. Restoration pretty much complete, just need to get it sorted and out and on the road. Nb I acquired it as a partially restored machine.

One query I have is the Oil tank filter. I am looking for a decent photo with dimensions as I am not sure the gauze element on  mine is quite correct.

If your bike is disassembled, would you be able to take a pic of your filter ? Much appreciated if you could do. Otherwise, more than happy to to try and answer any queries you may have.

Hi Steven,

I believe we spoke at Banbury last Sunday on the NOC stand, but were interupted. I don't know if you spoke to Chris Streather there as he restored his ex. John Lane racing CS1 not too long ago. Also, it might be worth putting your project on the   www.vintagenorton.com    website to make contact with fellow owners, or joining the VMCC.

Hi Alan,

One of the parts i need is an oil tank i brought the bike in packing cases! the oil tanks that i received in the box, are for a CSJ & an Inter. I pretty sure the CSJ gauze part of the filter is the same as the CS1. I take a photo today.

I love to see a photo of the bike you have restored!

Cheers

Steve

Hello Richard

Thank you for getting in touch. I was not aware that Chris S had restored a CS1 i will get in contact. On another note my other project a Norton 16h special is coming on and the engine rebuild is almost finished,  thanks for your help with the VT data.

Thanks again

Steve
