Does any one have a stator and rotor to suit a jubilee condition not important

Hi there,

Best thing to do is to contact the Electrical expert Al Osborn- on the club website and get his opinion on the present options. He does stock Lucas parts.

As far as I know the only rotor that fits the crank is the original Wipac one. Stators are less of a problem as some lucas ones might work with the Wipac rotor but they have to have the correct air gap to work properly. I could use a correct rotor/stator as well for my spare engine if someone has a store of these items. .

Hi All,

The Wipac rotor (magnets) cannot be replaced by a Lucas item, but they can be re-magnetised - see Al Osborn.

The Wipac stator can be replaced by a Lucas (or Wassells) alternator - like for like. 3 wired version for 6v sytems and 2 wire versions for 12v.

The air gap is a bit larger than normal, but you can get away with it
