Roadholder fork oil

Forums

Hello.

I have an ES2 1955 and a Model 50 1961 (Dunstall tuned). As I intended to change the fork oil I found that, the from the factory recomended oil, a single graded SAE 20 doesn?t exist any longer in the market (at least not here in Sweden). What would be suitably insted? Some people have recomendedan ordinary multigrade engine oil like SAE15W-40 or SAE20-50.

Any god advice? Greatings, Sven Joseph

Hello Sven,

Use a 20 weight motorcycle fork oil, it should be available at most bike shops, there are several different brands out there, engine oil doesn't have the anti-foaming ingredients used in fork oil.

Cheers!

Albert
