Refurb tank badges

The tank badges can some times be rechromed if they are not too badly pitted. They are made from a pretty poor quality material so you need to consult with the chromers to get a proper answer as to what is possible.

I don't think that any new replacements are available. Unless someone knows better?

Hello Tom, I have had my badges rechromed on my jubilee and they came out quite poor, there was quite a lot of pitting in them and they look worse all shiny, I haven seen any replacements so I will have to use them, if they keep annoying me I will fill all the holes and repaint them. I was thinking could they be carefully covered in the sticker film that looks like chrome.

just had my tank badges rechromed by rs electroplating did a really good job,cost around £60 each so not cheap and could be argued that buying repro pair would be easier(if available) only downside was that they took couple of weeks longer to arrive than promised.metal is mazac by the way.
