Got a Navigator project with no gearbox or primary drive, engine No.19/106982/P the later gearbox type.No luck in finding this type of box,all I have is the main shaft and one cog.Will a complete early box fit or are the casings different? Have chance of a complete jubilee engine in bits,would this box fit? would the box out of my other Navigator fit? 104404, any help much appreciated.Cheers Barrie.

I just fitted my early type gearbox back in the housing today.
See pics.
It is quite different to the later style gearbox with a different gear change mechanism.

To the best of my knowledge the early gear box fitted to the Jubilee and Navigator cannot be made fit in the later casing. The box out of your other Navigator will not fit either as it is the earlier type,same as the Jubilee - the change was made sometime around 105XXX, I have forgotten the exact number. Even the very front cover will not fit although at first glance it looks identical.
So back to searching for the later gearbox. Have you tried Club spares -sometimes they have items in store which are not listed so always worth a phone call.
