How much oil do i put in 1951 es2 engine & lay down gearbox. Also what size are the fixing pins for the knee grips.Mine has two in each rubber.Has any body got a rear pillion footrest.

Hi Colin ,thanks for the oil amounts.Do you know what size the knee grip screws are i think they might be 8BA?My footrest are the flat type that go on the garden gate frame,the ones ive seen on the club shop are the round ones.

OK Ian. The oil tank capacity is 4 pints approx, gearbox 1/2 pint approx, primary chaincase 1/2 pint approx. (Pints are Imperial, not U.S.) See the NOC shop on this web site for footrests. As for the knee grips, they should attach with screws and top hat shaped bushings, at least, the ones on my 1953 ES2 did.
