Hi,
I'm in Canada and have been trying to find out if Navigators were ever sold here or anywhere in North America. I belong to the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (several thousand members) and nobody owns one and nobody replies to that question. I can find no trace of them anywhere.
Would anyone know?
thanks!

With 25 years in the Club here in Northern California I have never seen one.
Electras though, are around in very small numbers.

Hello there,
I don't know the answer to your question either so I would suggest you contact the NOC Records Officer for Norton Twins who might know.
I have seen a Norton advert in an American magazine dated March 1959 for the Jubilee 250. This advert stated that you could get a test ride and buy from the US distributors. It then listed five distributors in San Francisco, California; Mansfield, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Miami, Florida; and in New York City. It didn't mention Canada.

Thanks, I'll contact and ask the Records Officer.

BruceFrom the dating officer:
Navigators wer sold to North America but not in great numbers, a batch of 35 went to the Berliner Corporation in 1961, two went to San Francisco and another two elsewhere. I obviously haven't searched all the records for the 1960's only the first year of sales. I have only seen one sold to Canada as yet. They seemed to be more popular with many asian countries, I suppose they weren't a big and beefy enough machine for the North American motorcyclist.
