Dear David,

Oh - that damn little clutch operating body peg! So small - it looks like a tiny rivit and is so easily lost when removing the clutch body from the gearbox inner end plate. Its only function is to stop the clutch body rotating when you pull the clutch inand assuch, it does not take a great load....

May I suggest that in the absence of obtaining a 041305 replacement, use a very small bolt that will fit through the diameter of the small holethat is drilled through the side of the gearbox inner end plate and then file the head round and down so that it just slides in the keyway cut into the side of the clutch body, ensuring the head is not proud of the inner diameter of the body.Push the pin into the inner g/box end plate, line up and fit the clutch operating body over the head of the pin, then gently do up the castelated locking ring tapping it home to lock the clutch operating body down. I have found that the clutch - when operated several times - tends to move the operating body slighty anticlockwise against the pin thus necessitating cluch cable re-adjustment....

Here's to another Lightweight that will soon be back up and running!

Cheers

Brian
