Quick Question, In the Singes Compendium (P154) it talks of TTC and TTN tanks; C being Chrome and N being Dull Nickel.
It also talks of MTTN
My guess is the M and TT refer to the size for the applicable race and then the finish.
TT may refer to Through Tank Mounting.
I'm sure one of our members can enlighten me.
Just curious...
Best regards
Jon

Thanks Richard...
I sent a message to Chris and also tried Stu R without success. The owner is a personal friend of the Bennett's so he can pursue them.
An article in the Singles Compendium (P154) possibly scribed by Peter Roydhouse speaks of Inter TTC an MTTN finishes. It's supposed as finishes; C = Chrome, N = Nickel, with the MTT being larger tank size for those races.
The build record for the bike shows the tank code, would just like to make sure it remains that spec when rebuilt.
Very Best Regards
Jon

Hi Jon,
I think you will need to contact Chris Streather or Paul Watkins for this info, but even then the factory records are not always complete. You could also try out-side the club. Paul Norman, the Bennett brothers or Will Galliers of Wheels of Old may be able to give you info from their experience.
