More Exhaust valve woes.

It's a pity the G&S valve catalogue lists don't have a column to note the best guide metals, as well as incompatible ones. But there seem to be lots of different yellow metals as well as cast iron. What we loosely call 'bronze' seems to come in many flavours. Do we have any industry insiders?

My thoughts are that as oiling can be a bit hit miss on Dommies ,then cast iron good  , think the orriginal valves  have chrome stems?.
