manx norton frame depression bottom right hand is it right?

Hi everyone was just looking at a manx norton frame just wondering if its correct If you were sat on the bike the bottom right hand side frame rail thats under the exhaust has a depression about half way along on the top of the rail anyone know if this is right?

I've asked Barry Stickland (NOC cammy adviser) to answer this for you.

Never seen it myself and my Inter frame whislt similar does not have it either.

thanks Ian might be thinking its a crashed frame or modified first manx one ive actually seen in the flesh and not in pictures

I know that people would put a kink in the bottom right frame rail of a featherbed when they fit a Goldstar engine into it as clearance for the oil pump...
