My 1947 Manx 350 engine is supposed to run a BTH KD1 Mag, but is fitted with a Lucas Magdyno. Obviously, in my quest to retore this machine to some semblance of originality I am looking for a KD1 Magneto to replace it. I missed one on e-bay (auction already closed), in full working order and a good healthy spark, which went for £230! Bargain.
I appreciate that this model may be difficult to come by but I will be scouring the web and the autojumbles in the forthcoming time. In the meantime I was wondering what the equivalent Lucas Magneto is? If I cannot source a KD1 then the equivalent Lucas version will have to suffice. But which one and from what make / model would it come from?
Sorry for the daft question. However, if anyone has a spare, working KD1 knocking about then I would be glad to hear from you. Incidentally, I have 2 Magdynos going spare!
Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill,
Here is the Lucas equivalent of the BTH KD1 TT. The TT denotes a better armature winding for a stronger spark. This one sold last month, but all these racing mags make high prices. There is a good description here so check out all the details.
