Looking for double barrel exhaust

Forums

Hello, for my 16H project I?m looking for a muffler simular to the on in picture atteched. The bike is form 1929. Does anybody know whether these mufflers are available as reproduction or where I could get a pattern to reproduce them myself.

Thanks Kurt

Kurt,

A couple of years ago I ran into Meteor Spares Service Ltd. who have in the past made castings of some parts of the 1929 silencer. You will find their details in the Services section of this site.

Otherwise, I know of a couple of authentic examples, one being in the UK on a CS1 and the other overseas on a Model 18.

Chris,

thank You for Your answer. I?m trying to contact Meteor Spares Service

but they haven?t answered to my email yet. Maybe they are on holidays.

Is the Model 18 You mentioned on the continent?

Kurt,

I will do that. Some of the attached images may help. Part No. 4316 is described in the 1929 parts list as Silencer Rear Attachment Arm but every picture I have shows a different arrangement.

Hi Kurt

Are you still looking for the exhaust? I have access to some patterns and could get you a pair of the aluminium ends cast if you are still struggling. My email address is andy@themagnetoguys.co.uk. Let me know if I can help and I will look into costings etc for you.

Andy
