Hi Mark

you're right in thinking your caliper is an upgrade, the original caliper has three seals, two are the same size and fit into grooves in the caliper body forming the sealing for the caliper pistons , the third seal locates over the threaded portion of the caliper plug ( for want of a better word ) which has to be removed with substantial pin spanner and is of a larger diameter.

The Lockheed Racing caliper needs different seals to the Norton std caliper also marked Lockheed which is possibly why Norvil are confused if you did not mention Racing, if you did they they should know better.
