I just bought three new nuts (NOS) . They tend to float on the outer threads of the three studs of the outer cover on this laydown gearbox.
Are these studs used somewhere else on the bike? Any source for good studs?
Has someone their dimensions (diameter, type of TPI)?
Thanks

If your new nuts fit the thread on the stud, but don't go on far enough to clamp the outer cover, check to see if the studs are longer than they should be. It may be simplest to shorten the studs you already have.

I got new studs from Racing Nortons. Although they are a little bit longer, I added a split spring washer behind the nuts. They are a tight fit now.
Thanks to Racing Nortons.
Follow my other messages on the front wheel spacers, as it seems that spindles or hubs survive but spacers disappear.

The three domed sleeve nuts you mention (part no. A11M/307)should be 5/16" BSCy (26 tpi). Off hand I can't think where else they might be found on a Laydown Box Norton although the earlier Upright and Dolls Head covers used seven.
They are readily available at the likes of RGM and Racing Norton and probably elsewhere.
