K2F Mags.

I have both a ATD mag. and a manual mag. On the contact breaker plate the upright stem that pivots the heel is hollow on the back side. The manual mag. has a spring loaded brush in it. The ATD mag. has nothing in there. Both give good sparks so what is that all about?

Some K2F magnetos have an earth brush at the drive end. Some have one in the contact breaker. My automatic 1956 one on the Dommy has a brush at the drive end. My manual one (no date label) has a drive-end one, and shows witness marks indicating that the contact breaker had one as well, but the c/b is missing
