Intermeidate gear shaft

Forums

Does anyone know if the oil hole on the intermediate gear shaft (the one for the intermediate gear) should be at the top or the bottom when the shaft is re-inserted into the crankcase. I deglected to record its position when I removed it. Perhaps it does not matter, but if at the top then any cr*p that might accumulate would be retained in the shaft and released when the timing cover is taken off. No that there should be any of course..

Thanks

Andrew,

I did not remove mine and it is in position with the oil hole down.

Looks like it has never been removed but I can't be sure.
