Hi, If I'm posting this in the wrong place please remove/relocate/let me know where I should go.
I'm trying to get my Norton on the road and have no idea how to approach getting a modern V5 due to my lack of knowledge, mismatched paperwork and Vogon-like DVLA...
I have;
A buff continuation logbook covering 1963 to 1986 for a 600cc Norton cycle & sidecar engine no. 3291, frame no. 2514, registered 1st July 1947, Reg no. JZ 576.
A green Registration book, V5 (NI) from 1986 with the same details as above but a first registration date of 26/06/47
A Norton+sidecar with a 633cc engine no.3291, frame no.47192 (the 2 is virtually invisible to the naked eye but seems present in a photo).
I joined a Norton facebook group they reckoned "I suspect what has happened here is that an ex-WD sidecar wheel drive outfit has received a WD 16H frame and fittings [plus sidecar] at some point and not been reregistered" and that the way forward would be to register it as a reconstructed classic with assistance from this club... and I need assistance, don't know where to start with the V627/1 form.
Like I say if this is the wrong place any pointers gratefully received.
Joe

Many thanks, found that section after I posted, wasn't sure whether to go for the NOC2 NOC3 or NOC4. NOC2 looks like it might get me on the road :-)

Hi Joe
The Club operates a well respected Records Service to assist Members and owners with these types of issue.
Simply click on the "Records" tab on the Menu or go straight to this link:-
