Hi, I have a 1932 model 18 and I can’t find the frame number. It’s not on the top part of the steering head. Where else is it likely to be?

My 1932 frame has the number…
My 1932 frame has the number stamped on the left side of the upper engine mounting lug on the front downtube. This is a cradle frame but your 18 will have the open frame, but perhaps it's worth looking at the upper front engine mount.

Hi Richard,
The photo of the frame number seems to indicate 1938 or 39 model year.
I assume it is a cradle frame as I saw a similar one down here a few years ago.
Do you know what model the number 5 refers to?

Try the left hand front fuel tank mounting lug.
