where can i find it on a navigator mine is powder coated over

Possibly on the lug that the pillion pegs are mounted to or on the gusset just in front/on topof this lug. Mine are very faint.

Don't forget that part of the MoT is having a visible frame or "chassis" number which must match the vehicle's registration documents. If the tester can'tread it, he is supposed to give it a "Fail" - it's the same for cars too.

Hi George,

The frame number is on the footrest gusset under the oil tank.

There are two numbers, the frame number, and underneath the other number is the Model No "19"

This is the same "19" that is stamped on the crankcase under the Engine No.

From a long issue I suffered from, I know that the No 19. may or may not be entered on the registration document.

Back in the 60s this was down to the supplying dealer and from correspondence with the DVLA last year some numbers were as follows:- 19-345678 or 345678-19 or just 345678 with no 19 mentioned.

As a previous correspondent said, for MOT purposes the number must match the document.
