I have the crankcase split On the timing side I still have the half time pinion in place, to get the main bearing out should this nock through taking the bearing with it or will it have to come off first! Thanks Bryon

You must take the timing gear off first, which needs the right puller. Then the crank will come out, but to get the main bearing off you will possible need another specific puller or is it heat??
