Hello there,

The Electra has the same oil tank as the Standard Jubilee/Navigator as far as I know. So (sitting on the bike) the right hand oil pipe from the engine is the flow and connects to the lower connection on the oil tank - that's the screw in one with the filter..

The left hand pipe from the engine connects to the oil tank connector with the T piece which then feeds the rockers as well as the return to the tank. The main oil pipes are 1/4" bore and the pipe for the rockers is 3/16" - oil grade pipe.

That should get it running but make sure you check that oil is returning to the tank. Also kick the engine over plenty times before even trying to start to get the system primed.

The breather pipe from the engine conneccts to the small connector on the top rear of the oil tank and the other small connector is for the pipe which goes to the rear chain case.

Hi Patrick

Thank you for info, just to be sure, i have two pipes on the right of the engine on the underside, am i correct in thinking these are supply and return, i also have a pipe on the left hand side, is this the breather, the fourth pipe comes from the rocker cover. Does this sound correct.

Hi Jason,

Yes the two pipes on the right hand underside are the flow and return pipes. You need two 1/4" rubber oil grade pipes each approx 20" long to connect up to the oil tank. You also need four jubilee clips to secure these pipes.

You should have a T shaped steel pipe running across the top of the engine connected to the top of each cylinder head by a union. You need a length of 3/16" rubber oil pipe approx 22" long to join this steel pipe to the T connection on the return side of the oil tank. Plus a couple of clips.

Yes the breather is on the left hand side pretty close to the rear drive sprocket. You need a 24" length of rubber oil pipe to link this to the rearmost connection on the back of the oil tank plus a couple of clips. The final pipe about 20" long runs to the chaincase. In all you need about 7 feet of 1/4 bore oil pipe plus 8 clips to suit. You might have a problem getting the correct 1/4" rubber pipe. I found that modern 6mm pipe was very tight and difficult to get on the steel pipes while 8mm seemed a bit slack. I think you can still get proper 1/4" but most motor factors will supply 6mm and tell you this is the same.

Anyway Good Luck in getting it up and running.

Patrick
