I was going to post a thread about Cree LED lights as used by the mountain bike guys. They seem very powerful and available quite cheaply on ebay
To continue. these lights may be of some use to members with poor lighting. I believe one of the Austrian Branch rode to the international rally with a LED head torch!

Not exactly CREE, but I have fitted surface mountLED stop/tail lamp boards to several of my motorcycles and I am very pleased with the result. Very bright, last almost forever and draw only milli amps to work.A bloke in Netherlands custom makes them for a few different tail lamps (along with other electronic motorcycle charging/regulatinggoodies). If any one is interested I will pass on his details. Good bloke to deal with.
