I geuss I sent an email regarding subject

Assembling Atlas Engine #121497

One superblend and one roller!

When case halves are cinched up the last .040" on one side -engine locks as inner race binds against case bore surface

Looks as if roller brg is slight less in width ? or is case distorted?

Have no history as its an old basket job. Don Raulin USA

Surely if the inner race is binding on the case then the bearing is too wide or a bearing is not seated correctly. Have you compared the radii on the crank, crankcases and the bearing to ensure a radii mismatch is not stopping a bearing outer being fully home in its housing or bearing inner on a crank journal.

Have verified inners are all in on crank

checking outers in case tedious but will verify next and check radii on inners

will also search for bearing dimensions

found it! outer race timing side not fully seated, when I installed originally

, it dropped in so nice with warm case/iced brg race I thought it fully seated.

back to basics I preach-sometimes don't heed
