Amal drain plug threads

Can anyone confirm thread size for the drain plug screw at the end of the remote float bowl arm of Amal 276 carb? I've tried 2 BA tap with fingers only and seems right but I don't want forge ahead without knowing for certain- Thanks in advance for any help-Richard

Ive checked a couple of float bowls,and if Ive got the right screw[in the banjo],its 1/4BSBrass, or 1/4 cycle.Regards John.

Robert- Thanks for the reply- The reason I needed thread info was because I wanted to turn a new one as I lost the plug when it flew across the shop as the buffer grabbed it out of the holding fixture while buffing after replating ! All is well now as I have found it after a long search- Easy fix would have been to order a new one from Burlen but it takes a few weeks to get here in the USA-Thanks again-Richard

Lucky you found it,it would be fifteen quid,plus post,otherwise.A good reason for having a box of old carbs to rob for bits.Regards John.
