Hi all,
Does anyone have a dimension drawing of the swing arm for these bikes ?
I need the inside distance between the wheel axel plates.
The arm is twisted a small amount in two directions. Got 1 mm of rock left to right on a diagonal test. I think it has also 'sprung' the right side arm down the length of the tube.
Thanx,
Dave

Have you checked for both wheels being in the same plane? Can be done with a builders spirit level.

I would have before but tablets are useless for copying and pasting links.

Hi Jonathan,
I will do when I get all back in one piece. Stripped down to the last washer as of now.
I need the distance between the rear wheel axel plates so I can get it where it should be in and of itself.
Thanx,
Dave

Hi Baz,
I looked, couldn't find it.
Maybe cause I'm dyslexic.

Hi John,
I tried to go there but it wont work at my end.
Would be nice if someone could simply sent the dimensions.
I'm dyslexic and have a hard time with some of this carry on.
Thanx,
Dave

Dave,
8 1/16" between the rear axle/spindle plates. I don't know if the wheel is centred in the swingarm though i.e. it might not be symetrical.
I don't suppose it really matters, everything is miles out on the commando from the factory. As long as the back wheel is inline with the frame spine it's fine. probably won't be inline with the rear frame loop though, oops.

Hi Martyn,
Thank you for that. Actualy it's almost nearly 8 1/16" now. Depends on which eye I'm using.
The fact that there are rubber bung ISO's would mean that alignment could be anywhere.
Regards,
Dave

I've just realised that dimension is for the earlier 750 commando, I can't imagine there's any difference? Probably nothing you couldn't give a little adjusting tweak with a wrecking ball and some dynamite.

Thanx Martyn,
For the 850 Andover reckons 8.11"
