Hi all, Could someone please tell me how much oil you put in a 1939 16H gearbox (dolls head!) and I have read that you can, or supposed to, use grease in the box! any ideas, cheers Tony.

I have heard of half filli…
I have heard of half filling with semi fluid grease and topping up with oil.
A compromise to try to reduce the leakage.

Hi Tony, the dollshead gearbox is designed to run on engine oil 50w, you fill up to the filler plug. There are plain bushes in the gearbox that grease may not penetrate.
