Con Rods

I have a spare rod somewhere ,  you are probably aware that 88 and 99 rods are the same . length. The distance between centers should be the same ,but there may  be a very small varience as they are prone to stretching when well used. I measured some NOS ones and found differences in the big end sizes.  Interesting.  I will look for the rod.

Looks like 153mm or  perhaps 6 inches would be likely , back in the days of "proper" measurements.

Here are the specs for my rods, they fitted perfectly!

So its 6 inches then. What shells did you use.?.

After much searching thro the records I think they came from Norvil  It was a long time ago!

The 1.6050 measurement is helpfull  for checking used rods  for ovality , I suspect these rods used std Norton type shells.
