Rims for a Manx

Forums

I recently obtained a pair of Dunlop alloy rims WM2 X 19 and WM1 X 19. I was told they are correct for a early 1950s 350 Manx. Can anyone confirm these sizes?

Thanks

My Atlas came to me with ally rims taken off a Manx. They were both Borrani Records 19" and equivalent to the sizes you have been given. The rims are a bit too slim for my liking!.

That's good to know. I like the antique look. Now that I know they will work on an Atlas I am tempted to use them rather than try to recuperate my investment. They came with a lot of other parts.

My more modern 350 Manx from -59 has front Borrani 2 ? x 19 and rear Borrani 2 ? x 19 stamped on them. I'm quite certain they have been on the bike at least since -63, probably longer.

So I had to run out and measure them and they are the same size as yours give or take a 1/16. Still I decided to use them after reading Robert Tuck's comment. Shows how easily swayed I am. I will sell (or swap) something else.
