Hello.
I'm having trouble finding an exhaust to fit my 1951 model 18. The one it came with is scabby and pieced. I ordered one from armours and it does not fit. i contected them and they said it should be the correct pipe for a rigid model 18.
Does anyone know where to get a pipe which will fit? I have contected feked.
Thanks. Colin.

I got the pipe from Feked. That also doesn't appear to fit.
Do the later model 18's require a different shape pipe?
Not sure where to go now other than getting a custom pipe made.
Any ideas?
Colin.

Having suggested Feked I'm sorry to hear the pipe doesn't fit. Did you buy pipe & silencer, or are you trying to match up the new pipe with an existing silencer?

The exhaust doesnt clear the gearbox and kick start properly. It looks like the distance between the exhaust port and return bend is too tight. My last hope is an exhaust rgm sell which is listed as the same part number in my parts book. Also fits inter and model 50?

Hi Colin
That sounds very like the problem I had with the Armours pipe. I have bought 2 pipes from Feked for a 1950 ES2 (plunger frame) and both have fitted very well. The most recent one was just 2 weeks ago. Part number is F80 (rigid frame should be F74) and is stamped on the silencer end of the pipe. Any chance they have sent you the wrong one by mistake? Feked also states that the pipe is for ES2, M50, & Inter. A far-out suggestion: is there any chance you have the (taller) 600cc Model 19 engine in your frame?
Cheers, Ian McD

Hi Colin
I had similar disappointment (& bs) with the Armour system for my 1950 ES2. At least they refunded without any hassle. The replacement system from Feked fitted very well, although the silencer mounting bracket needed a little modification.
