I'm trying to fab a rear tank mount for my '48 Inter with a standard tank but am unsure of the vertical offset from the frame mounting point. It appears to me from some photos that I've seen online that the is no offset on the right side. If that's the case, it's an easy route from there. I have a mount from a clubmans tank with wider centers that I'll modify to work. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

Ah, but my tank is not bolt-through and I think the mounts have different offsets. The mount pictured is for a bolt-thru with 6 1/2" centers and my tank has 5 1/2" centers. The mount pictured is an OEM for a bolt-thru and that is what I'm contemplating modifying.
Thanks,
Mike

Here are the shots from the parts book. They only show the manx and inter. the manx having a single jog on the left and the inter jogging up on the right and down on the left. The only photos I've seen of the standard tank mount appear to have no jog on the right. Someone out there knows.
Thanks,
Mike

You can easily see in your photo the difference in the Manx frame at the rear tank mount. The Inter has 3 closely spaced studs and the Manx one stud and 2 more widely spaced bolts. Why didn't the just make them all like the Manx version? The engineers work in mysterious ways.
Thanks Jonathan,
Mike
