I took the carby off for…
I took the carby off for another job. The settings are Main 340, Idle 30, Needle middle notch, standard slide with a carby trumpet of about 1 1/2''. This carby was on the bike when I bought it. The starting procedure (cold) is to flood with tickler, roll over 1 cycle, take to just over TDC, kick with no throttle. Mostly first kick start, may need the air slide once started if very cold. I have had no experience with a TT. When hot, no tickler. Most important - no throttle.
Cheers,
Peter

What is 'standard slide'? Needle jet size? Carb bore size? It would also be useful to know more about your engine. Is it an iron or alloy motor, compression, which cam....

My Inter.
My bike is a '57 model and as such it is an alloy engine and I have no idea of the compression or cams as I haven't gone into it that far and I took the carby off last night. It is standard bore I am about to give it an overhaul and may be able to give you more information as I go. I have mainly riden it on classic rallies around N.S.W. after obtaining it and restoring it some 5 years ago.

I'm seconding Paul's question.....
Slide cutaway? Needle jet size? Bore size?
Thanks,
Mike

The needle JET is likely to…
The needle JET is likely to be .106. I think the cut-away is measured in 1/16! steps. I would expect the slide to be a 389, maybe a 3 or 4 cut-away...

My Inter,
On my '38 Alloy engine I fitted a 930 mk1 Concentric, instead of the ancient 10TT carb.
Surrey Cycles supplied it with 310 Main, 106 n/jet & pilot 30(bush removed) & size 3 slide cutaway
worked perfect straight out of the box. Normally a first kick start same as Peter Arnulls comments,
instant pick up and reliable tick over
cheers

I have a monobloc fitted to my '57 Inter. I have the details written down and will see if I can dig them out.
