Ignition switch Atlas 1965

Forums

I have a hybrid 650SS 1963 engine based in an Atlas 1965 frame with associated wiring. It lacks an ignition switch and Tacho illumination. Where exactly does the ignition switch mount as the wiring loom indicates it near to the battery box but said box has no holes for it? A picture would be helpful if possible

A lot of the time the Atlas had a magneto-no ignition switch. But later Atlas had coil ignition as per the Mercury (wiring the same) This if I rember right had its ignition switch fitted on a small bracket infront of the top corner of the battery box, so if your wires are in that area the best thing is to make your own bracket or have a good look at a Mercury, sorry can't supply any picture, but it was never fitted into the battery box direct.

Thanks for the help. I'll investigate the Mercury wiring and parts lists or make something up for an ignition switch I can get on-line from RGM.
