Hi All,
I have a Dommie Racer with a 750 Atlas engine fitted. I bought the bike a couple of years ago and never run it up untill now, it has had a full nut and bolt rebuild by JMC everything renewed. The clutch is so heavy and no feel to it , i am wondering if it has been put together correctly any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Graham,
I have taken the clutch lever off and i take it you measure from the centre of the clutch lever pin to the centre of the cable where it slots in the lever , if so mine is 1", i will try another lever with 7/8" and see how i get on. thanks

My PO changed the profile of the lifting cam slightly, and mine is easier than most as a result. I think it needed to be hardened and tempered again but he was a better engineer than me. I think I've seen this modification discussed on this board somewhere.

Hi
Probably the first thing to check is the fulcrum point of the lever. This should be 7/8" and a different one will result in a heavy clutch. Just changing the lever on my bike made a significant difference.
