Havig had last week gone to the German Cafe Racer festival at Glemseck a German company sold me some revised fasters for my 961 and they make a huge difference. Attached is a photo of the original fitting for the shock absorber tops (with large penny washer!!) and the replacement alloy cover and stainless bolt. Makes a big difference. I am thinking of getting some more made up would other owners be interested? There would be 6 peices, for the shock top and bottom and for the exhaust hanger

Dave, I priced up getting some made up and the cost of the alloy parts (6 peices) would be around £40.00 a set with bolts on top. I am still thinking of whether to go ahead for 2 reasons, only 2 people (including you ) have expressed an interest and if I supply bolts then would I need to take out public liability insurance in the event of a shock absorber bolt failing. I could of course just supply the alloy parts and a detailed description of what bolts to buy. However I have to get a minimum of 20 sets made, so I am a long way from selling that many.
Pete at Norton tells me that they have designed a similar item but at what cost and when it will be available is another story.
