Mk3 Down Pipes

Forums

With the Mk3 project now coming to a close who are supplying the best down pipes. That would be: quality, fitting, price. Have had a look at some old posts on here about the topic which were a bit dated to be fair. Obviously fitting correctly is important without having to bend, push, pull, rant. I've got a 'thing' about Wassell (RGM) stuff not being particularly good quality, bearing in mind what I said above about poor fitting, but cheaper. Andover are expensive in comparison to others but is the quality good. I remember reading somewhere that they have got it right with the jigs used, that produce pipes that do actually fit. I have used Brituro in the past for Black cap silencers for my T160 but not for down pipes. Has anyone used Armors in Bournemouth? I am going to kep the exhaust system standard with balanced pipe system.

regards

Armours are best avoided, my B44 pipe was too short, they blamed my bike, they have recently supplied the same pipe to someone else and it too long with wrong bends.

About four years ago I bought a pair of new downpipes(with balance pipe)for my MK 3 Commando at a Kempton Parkautojumble from "Sheffield British Motorcycles". They usually have a standat this regular event and produce pipes for a wide range of classic bikes. The pipes from themI fitted were spot on and still going strong with good quality chrome.
