right angled cable adjuster and nut at top of Amal carb?

Forums

My new Amal concentric carb, bought to replace the TT carb on my 1959 Inter, seems to reach to the underneath of the tank even before I've fitted the cables. Is there such a part as a right-angled adaptor for the throttle and choke cables? I've tried Burlen (no) and have emailed Surrey Cycle...

There are cable deflectors, even on Amazon.  You could put a cable deflector directly onto the carb, and put the adjuster on the end of the cable deflector.  (What's wrong with the TT?  It's twice the value...)

The TT carb runs great when out on the fast roads, but through towns I find the lack of tick over and tricky starting an issue. I just wanted something simple. But you can be sure I won't be parting with the TT crab and may at some point in the future see if I can modify it to give a tickover.
