Recommendation please for isolastic replacement mechanics in S.E England

Forums

I have just got a ’69 commando that requires new isolastics. Being somewhat daunted by by prospect of fitting vernier isolastics, and in particlular the ones in the middle, could anyone reccomend a mechanic in S.E England. (closer to Brighton the better). Thanks

I've not had any work done there, but I've visited a few times because I could, and picked up a few service items while I was at it. The shop's a little Aladdin's cave of beautiful and interesting machines, and the guy's always offered to make me tea. His small workshop at the back certainly seems to get a lot of action, and I'd be surprised if someone as knowledgable as he appears to be could mess up the installation of Isolastics. HTH

p.s. For future reference, I'd also be interested to know how long you might have to wait to get a bike into his workshop, and if anyone has experience of his work.
