Rear Isolastic spindle - which way ?

Forums

Hi all -

Need some advise on fitting rear Iso spindle - one end has more thread than the other -  1" vs 3/4". Does it matter which side has which thread length ? Thanks in advance   -  Richard

I expect they were fitted in a particular way from the factory but it isn't going to make any difference whichever way you fit it. The end with the long thread and the extra bit sticking out is the end you hit if you ever need to drift it out. If you grease/copaslip it before you fit it though, you will never need to drift it out. I always assumed the extra thread was so you could put two nuts on and lock them together to help with fitting or removing the stud.
