Would anyone be good enough to supply me with the dimensions of the AMC gearbox adjuster please, the hoop with the threaded rod, so I can make one in stainless, for my Mercury. I've also noticed that the part numbers for the pre Mk3 Commando box adjuster and the Dominator adjuster is the same, yet there is about a tenner difference in price? Anyone know what the crack is here? Thanks.

Norvil offer it in stainless with nut for under £20. - I could not make one for less . If you still want dimensions LMK and I will measure mine .

Hello Philip - My 1969 750 Commando adjuster had 5/16 inch UNF threaded rod and nuts whereas my 1962 650SS has 5/16 inch BSCycle thread with reduced hex nuts. So they should not have the same part number. I'm not sure about my Mercury - could be either ? I'd go for the cheapest if you've got the nuts to suit. Good luck, Howard
