Rally Ho!

Last night, we ferried across to North Wales the first load of rally materials and installed a bike there for use during The Slate Rally. The run along the North Wales coast road was excellent with the sun reflecting off the sea and illuminating the hills inland. If you are approaching the rally from that direction, take a look up as you cover the section after the tunnels and see the hills covered in purple foxgloves.

We discussed the final arrangements with Riverside and on Wednesday it all starts. Everything is looking good at the moment.

Although the nights are now drawing in and it's downhill all the way to Christmas, the return journey produced one of the best sunsets in years. The colours ranged from red to orange to purple and it seemed to go on for ages before the sun finally dipped below the horizon.

If you have not booked for the rally, it is all too late as there are no registrations for unbooked 'ride-ins', but those of you who are missing out will be able to read about it all in Roadholder later.
