Hi, can anyone help, I have discovered that the Valve timing is out on my 1959 99 engine, I have perused these pages but can't find the information I require. As someone stated, the half time pinion lining up mark cannot be seen with the oil pump drive in situ, I would prefer not to remove the drive as I don't know ifthe nutis a Left or right hand thread, would I be correct in setting up the half time pinion to TDC and setting all other timing marks to suit?

The nut that holds the oil pump drive is left hand thread. best to remove the drive gear mark the half time pinion timing mark so it can be seen with the oil pump drive in place put everything back together and set the camshaft marks according to the book.
Should be a simple and straight forward job.

Thanks for that Tony, I suspected it may be a left hand thread.
