961 largest gathering of bikes 3rd August in Devon

If you have not had an invite via the factory as organizer of the Norton Festival I can tell you that you had better think about being at this wonderful event. You can see the full details on either the clubs National web site or click onto the Devon Branch site www.nocdevonbranch.co.uk .

We hope to have the largest gathering of 961 engine Norton's seen to date and have a good number that we know of coming along already having 7 in our Devon group for a start. We will also have a 961 Domiracer at the event on open pipes! you can see my son sitting and starting up Stuart Garners very own bike (after the recent AGM at the factory) thanks Stuart you made Dom's year!!

Now if numbers impress you we have over 160 people paid up to attend the long weekend which if you are a member is just £10 for up to four nights camping or £15 for a none member. But you can of course B & B it and still attend. Now we still have two months to go and as we have been out to many bike events so far a vast number of chaps with Nortons are also set to attend on the 3rd August for the bike display and judging.

Sean from the factory will be attending plus the local Norton agent from Bodmin "Thor" plus the N.M.M. will have the last Norton to win a TT in 1992 along and will start her up. Lots of Manx will do a start up or poss. two. Stu Rogers has a very special bike or 4 that will be seen and heard. George Cohen will be along which is always good to see what he has to show/make noise with! and enjoy the smell of R.

I could go on but with the expectation of 200 to 300 Norton's, so many very rare one's indeed would you want to be anywhere else.

O by the way we have a bear Festival at the Rally field and bands on Friday and Saturday night.

Regards

Ian

I've now got my Givi Tanklock Tankbag sorted so that and my Kriega rucksack will be pressed into service.

I'm looking forward to seeing other 961ers there. wink

great to see you lads are coming, should be quite a gathering of 961's. a couple of weekends ago Mal Childs (who is coming) showed me his Givi tank bag which i understand fits with a Triumph Tiger tank ring this keeps the tank bag off the tank.
