Hi Tom, I have just had a strip sheared myself to make a new one, it is exactly 1" (25.4mm) wide.
if you look on page 4 of 'cycle parts' in the Heavyweight section of the NOCShop the whole unit is for sale at £40.00.
As John says the rubber onlyis available from some of the normal suppliers.
Regards
Dick

Hi Tommy, no I don't think that they will have closed yet, the SPARES Dept. is manned by volunteers so 9 days isn't unusual and besides they have their own presents to wrap. Also the Christmas rush will add a couple of days.

Sorry for late answer but finally went and checked. Flu kept me indoors. My Manx has a one and a half inch wide strap, looks like it is an original one. I usually cut a piece of a cheap sleeping pad to have under the strap.

Can't help at the moment with strap width but lots of supplies possible RGM Norton, Andover Norton, Norvil, NOC Spares
and the usual tank suppliers just put a web search in for Norton petrol tank suppliers, like the Tank Shop Norton Racing Parts and of course EBay!
Cheers
