Long range fastback question

Forums

Hello

Can any owner(s) of a long range fastback measure the length of the seat base from the centre of the seat knurledfixing knob as you look from the side to where the seat meets the petrol tank.

Thanks.......Ady

Mine is a Fair Spares replica from about twenty-five years ago. It hasn't been on for ages but as far as I recall, the fit was OK.

It measures 12" from the middle of the mounting lug to the leading edge, measured just inside the edge lip.

Thanks Richard I'm asking because I fancy putting a fastback tail on my roadster I know I'm going to have to alter the fastback seat by extending the front but that shouldn't be too difficult I see if I can source a secondhand one to cut about

Thanks.....Ady

I could try the fastback seat with a Roadster tank for you (I probably did once actually).

It's a Mk3 though so there is a hinge to unbolt - it won't be tonight.

My original plan was to put the LR kit on for touring with the larger tank but I never arrived at a satisfactory way of mounting the Craven rack and side cases with the FB tail. It all sat too high
