HelIo

I have a problem with the 1939 BIG4 am to gearbox I have read few thousand miles without problems. 4 th jump more often and I replaced it, I replaced all bushes in bronze, the claws are in good condition. No play in the bearings which rotate freely. I removed several times and I can not find whence can the problem. The Cam plate is in good condition, the indexing pluger and its spring too.Would you have an idea of the problem or could come. Is it possible that it comes from setting between the box and the box doll?Thank you for your potential help.Louis

It might be the connecting rod from the doll's head to the box. The end clevis connection might be a bit too tight. Adjust it in third gear so the rod has just a small amount of free movement in both directions (pull or push).Good luckDavid
