Riding Trousers braces

I have a rather rotund shape which mean my waist is larger than my hips. Consequently I need a pair of braces to hold my biking trousers up as a belt doesn't keep them high enough. The usual wide elasticated fabric braces only seem to last about 6 months. Can anyone suggest a source of some decent fabric or leather braces that will stop my trousers trying to descend to my knees when I dismount?

Wife bought me some from Amazon , bit  large  and clumsy but have lasted and do the job , when i get them off I will take a look!!.

Maybe a bit off topic, but I have dispensed with the clips that hold the braces to the pants .

I bought some miniature carabinas from a hardware store and thread them through the belt hoops on the pants and where the clips hook onto the braces.

Not an original idea but it works very well.

Thanks Robert, I will look at those

That's a good idea Don, I will give that idea a go as I am fed up of braces pinging off.

I had these ones purchased in 2018 and use them with riding jeans and so far they have not become detached at any point.

Kind regards,

It is not really the clasps that are my problem which is more to do with the fact that the fabric loses it's elasticity after a short while and will not support the weight of heavy waterproof trousers with armour and pockets full of cash, keys etc
