Hi, everyone! I did the craze and bought a nearly unused 961!!!
It is from italy and has a mere 1580 miles on the clock. Runs sweet as a nut....have a 750 Commando from 1972 as well. When first starting it felt like being on the 72' again, but then things changed (grin)....the most important request I have is to please publish the last version of the Workshop Manual. The last one I could get was from 2013. I think a few things have changed since then???
Cheers Hans Toeppich

Hi Alan,
I know, but as we have here in northern Germany no former or present dealer nor service facility, wrenching will be up to me...No problem as I serve all my bikes myself. My 961 sport mk 2 is from 2018.

Hi Alan, Thanks a lot, I…
Hi Alan,
Thanks a lot, I did an successful download of both. This will help a lot for maintenance ( I hope, I will not have to use it to solve big problems at any time);-))!
I struggled about a problem with the ongoing production of the 961 by TVR. As far as I know, they still produce them to Euro 4 spec. As we have within the EU meanwhile Euro5, it will not be possible to get one of these brandnew bikes on the road here unless they somehow lift the emissions across the Euro 5 line...so within a foreseable time still no Norton 961 dealer here:-(((...
I even read an offer of an UK dealer still having some 10 brandnew 2020 961s...same problem with these on the mainland...thats why some big Factories ended some of their model lines, e.g. Harley their sportster, Enfield the 500, the engines were not able to reach the new emission rules.
I´ll keep You informed if new things happen over here.
Cheers Hans

Welcome Hans & I hope you have a great experience with the 961.
TVS have announced that the 961 will continue - see:
https://www.nortonmotorcycles.com/range/commando-961/
We need to know the year of the bike - has it ABS for instance?
Cheers Alan
