Does anybody know who makes a seat cover like the original with the chequered top, I have contacted R K Leightons and they do not do one, they only do it with plain grey

The material does exist but apparently RK did not consider it an economic proposition to order another roll. Perhaps the club could buy a roll and supply owners with material they could pass on to RK ??.
