NOC 961 Register If you're lucky enough to own a 961 Commando and would like to partake in helping to build up a club database please could you forward the following preferred information to:- 961register@nortonownersclub.org and I can then add the information to the database.:

General photo of the bike (as an email attachment) Model (SE, Sport, California etc) Edition number if applicable I.e 8/200 Engine number + photo (preferred) Frame number + photo (preferred) Colour

The following is purely optional, add it if you wish, the more info the merrier but no need for first pet or mothers maiden name

Registration number Current owners name Current owners address First owner if different from above if known Original supplier if known Interesting mods/info history

We hope to have a form that can be filled out and submitted to the records email but until this is available just sending the above in an email will suffice.

To confirm the database will be only held by the NOCL and be accessed in the same way as you do for any pre Donington Nortons. Best Regards Tony Lockwood

Hi Ken,

Welcome into the 961 world, I think I have the bike on the register already but if you would like to send me the engine and vin number I can check and update accordingly.

Regards

Tony

Hi Ken, I have an SE number 19 of 200 and my mate has number 20 of 200.  Had a 2015 Sport and a 2018 CR number 29 of 50.  The SEs are better built.  Cheers Barney.

Hi,   Put my deposit down in mid January for a 961 Sport after a factory visit. Dont have a delivery date yet as I want the silver, and thay dont have the paint at the moment. I did offer to pop down to me local Halfords, but they said they would wait for they normal supplier.   Currently have an 1965 Atlas but cannot wait for my new Norton to arrive. As soon as it does i will put the details on the Register.

Great news Stuart - sure you will be happy with it when it arrives.

I hope you can join us on 30th July for a NOC 961 mega stand at the Ardingly Show and Jumble - it would be an excellent addition to the stand to have one of the new bikes from Solihull.

Check in with Tony Lockwood if you want to join us.

Thanks - Paul.

Had number 19 SE over at Motorvated for a service and left number 20 SE for a revamp  Stuart is the top guy for working on the Donington Nortons.  My petrol tank has swollen around the oil filler because of the E10 petrol.  Anyone have the same problem?  Anyone know what to do ?  Thanks Barney.

Will catch up with you soon with the details of my new 23 Sport.

Pete

Had a similar problem with my 2012 961 Sport tank with blistering of the tank which is made of HDPE that reacts with the ethanol in modern fuel. Had to get a new tank. Now never leave fuel in tank if bike will sit unused for over a month , syphoning it out , and since then have never seen that problem again. 5 years now.
